Green Crack Strain - Everything you need to know and more!
Snoop Dogg renamed this strain when he sampled its ridiculously potent effects. Of course, after the Snoop Doggy Dog Dog himself tried this strain you know that everyone wants to have a go. They have a good reason, too, as it’s an exceptional sativa strain that will blow your mind. You’re going to want to be a stoner before you try this strain, however, as newcomers may literally and metaphorically have their socks blown off from this one. The name doesn’t really need any explanation, as it obviously comes from Snoop comparing this strain to cocaine.
This strain is sometimes called Sour Crack or the Blue Crack strain.

Green Crack: Sativa or Indica?
This delightful sativa strain has dense buds that are typical to a sativa. Bred in the 1970s, it’s a fruity strain that has both potency and flavor. Those who get their hands on this strain will first notice the trichomes that cover it. These make for perfect grinding, and, once you’ve ground this strain up, you’ll truly begin to appreciate its magnificence. If you really want to enjoy this strain properly, you should also stick it inside a flower vaporizer. The main advantages of using a flower vaporizer are:
- Less adulterated taste, as no combustion of plant material or paper
- You need less weed to get you as high
- You can feel the trichomes hit the back of your throat
- You can use your leftover bud to make edibles

Green Crack taste
Green Crack is descended from Skunk #1. As such, you can expect the classic skunky flavors associated with these strains. However, it’s also crossed with a landrace strain, which carries with it a nice amount of fruitiness. Landrace strains are known for their earthy or fruity flavors, and Green Crack definitely carries on this tradition. You should enjoy this strain ground up inside a flower vaporizer , for the maximum taste spectrum. The full taste palate of Green Crack is:
Green Crack oil, wax, shatter, edibles, etc.
The two things that concentrate creators look for when choosing a strain are potency and taste. As we’ve already discussed, Green Crack has both of these in a decent amount. Thus, it makes a great choice for making into Butane Hash Oil. Please be careful if you’re attempting this at home, as you could very well burn your house down (it has been done before!).
For edibles, it doesn’t really matter what strain you use. That is because the potency of edibles is more dependent on how effective your decarboxylation method is, rather than the actual potency of the original herb. Without decarbing your weed your edibles will have little to no potency. The other thing you have to do before creating edibles is to mix your decarbed weed with a fat or oil.

While Green Crack may have a number of useful medicinal applications, it may also cause anxiety, paranoia, or headaches after prolonged use. It’s highly recommended, therefore, that you don’t dose too high when you’re first trying this strain. If you do feel overwhelmed after taking a hit from this strain, then follow this guide to feeling less stoned:
- Have a cold shower
- Have some coffee, preferably a strong one
- Go for a run, workout, or swim
- After this you should feel better.

Green Crack growing tips
Green Crack will grow very high, so be careful if you’re growing this indoors. However, the strain itself is relatively easy to grow. This is true of most older strains. You should top the leaves from the very top of the strain, to allow light to get to the bottom, as well. Green crack can be grown outdoors or indoors.
Green Crack seeds
The seeds are available from a number of different sellers online. Green Crack seeds can be bought online because it’s an old strain and many people stock it.
